Åkra Åkra is our largest area, which was built between 1962 and 1968. It is located on the east side of Silvermyntsgatan, on the site where Åkra farm used to be. The only things remaining from that time are a part of the apple orchard down by the ponds. From the middle of the area, it is about a 15-minute walk to Sala station and 12 minutes to the town center. Åkraskolan, with grades F-6, is located in the area.
