Åkra Åkra is our largest area, built between the years 1962–1968. It is located on the eastern side of Silvermyntsgatan, on the site where Åkra farm once stood. The only remaining part from that time is a section of the apple orchard down by the ponds. From the middle of the area, it is about a 15-minute walk to Sala station and 12 minutes to the city center. Åkraskolan, with grades F-6, is located in the area.
