Gothenburg is a very nice place.
We don't have skyscrapers, but it's very quaint, quiet, with a more friendly and outgoing variety of Swedes.
A lot of café culture, Andra Långgatan's drinking spot and interest/hobby groups (pre-corona).
If you're looking to study, Gothenburg's Chalmers has a very clique student culture, and you would probably find a lot of people and things to do.
